Thanksgiving Recipes
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite Holidays. Not only is it great food, but it is an excellent time for family and friends to get together. Thanksgiving recipes meal has to be the best comfort food that will most definitely send you into a food coma.
So we made it easy for you and added recipes for Thanksgiving day dishes. Below are some of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes, enjoy!
Stuffing
- 18 to 24 ounces bread cubes, (1.5 loaves of bread, or about 12 to 14 cups) preferably toasted or stale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cups diced sweet onion, roughly 2 large onions
- 2 cups diced celery
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- kosher salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 2 large eggs
A mixture of fresh herbs for sprinkling.
Turkey
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons ground dried rosemary
- 2 tablespoons rubbed dried sage
- 2 tablespoons dried thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon lemon-pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 (15 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
- 1 medium orange, cut into 8 wedges
- 1 medium onion, chopped into large pieces
- 1 medium carrot, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 2 stalks celery, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1 (750 milliliter) bottle champagne
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
Green Bean Casserole
- 4 cups frozen cut green bean defrosted (see notes for canned or fresh beans)
- 10 ½ ounces cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon seasoning salt or to taste
- 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions divided
Scalloped Potatoes
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 3 pounds white potatoes sliced about ⅛” thick
- salt and pepper to taste
Pumpkin Pie
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
- 1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
