Just because we are getting older does not mean the holiday magic has to end. I challenge you to make the most of this holiday season this year. Here are a few fun holiday date ideas that you can do with your significant other, family, or besties.
Top 5 Christmas Date Ideas
Christmas Lights
One of my favorite Holiday traditions is taking the time to look at the Christmas lights around town. Whether that is driving around in the car looking at each individual house or going to a Christmas light event I find the lights to be so magical. They really just add an extra touch to make the season extra special.
Gingerbread House
Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition? Building gingerbread houses is one of my favorite holiday traditions. It is such a fun way to let your creativity flow. Head to Target and pick out your favorite Gingerbread House (they have a huge selection) and get to building! I will definitely be building a Gingerbread Tree House this year.
Baking
Somebody’s gotta make the cookies for Santa. Winter is the best time to tune in with your inner Martha Stewart and get to baking. I absolutely love spending time in the kitchen and baking desserts. It is even better to share what you make with your loved ones and see them enjoy a sweet treat you make from scratch.
Movie Marathon
There is nothing I love more than getting all cozy on the couch with a good movie and a snack. Christmas movies are also arguably the best kind of movies. You can never go wrong with Elf or The Grinch. You could also turn on Christmas movies while building your gingerbread house or baking for some extra holiday spirit.
Christmas Shopping
I am sure you both have some Christmas shopping to do for people in your life. Make a fun date day out of it. Head up to your closest shopping mall and spend the day shopping for the people in your life that make you feel the most special. This will be a great way to spend time together and also just be grateful for all the amazing people in your world.
Throughout all of these exciting holiday activities make sure to stay present through each moment. Your days aren’t going to look like this forever. Build traditions, find out what you love, and make the most of every moment.
